DO YOU GUYS MISS US YET?
As you all know, or most of you know anyway, we have spent the last 5 weeks in Africa. The first week we were in South Africa, travelling from Cape Town up the Eastern Cape along the "Garden Route", which includes a variety of breathtaking coastal cities and landscapes. Before we embarked on our little road trip we just HAD to hit a wine tasting. I mean we were in South Africa "Wine Country", and I think it is against the law if you don't actually visit a few of their spectacular vineyards. We chose Stellenbosch, the best and sexiest one. O.k., I guess a wine region can't really be sexy, but after visiting four vineyards the goats on the side of the road were starting to look sexy, just kidding..ha ha ha. We had a chauffer, so we got lit and had nothing to worry about! Yeah baby!~ The wine was awesome, and for those winos back home, try to get a bottle of Tokara Cabernet, or Beyerskloof Pinotage ( superb!!).
We rented a car and Brad learned really quickly how to drive on the other side of the road....it was quite brutal, but we made it! Our first stop was Cape Point, the Southern most tip of Africa, where the Indian and the Atlantic oceans collide. Nothing short of perfect. Watch out for baboons, they might pinch your butt, like they did to our friend Koray! We took our time driving from Cape Town to Hermanas where we saw plenty of whales breaching out of the water for our pure enjoyment. Also, the South African penguins were so cute until one made a dent in our camera because Brad decided he was going to try to hug one for a "kodak moment"..nice one Brad. We continued north along the coast and spent a few days enjoying the drive. We then headed back to Cape Town for our BIG, and I mean 20 DAY BIG, AWESOME, EXCITING, BEST THING EVER, OFF THE RICTER, ADVENTUROUS, DRAMATIC(REALITY SHOW STYLE), FANTASTIC, COOLEST THING WE HAVE EVER DONE, Overland Adventue with Nomad Overlanding Company. The rest is history. We didn't love South Africa,( Apartheid damage is still sooo fresh) and for more info, shoot us an email, or purchase a book titled "Kaffir Boy", by Mark Mathabane, it says it all. However, the scenery was incredible, and we made a few super cool friends (Shot out to you Blanche, Leah, and Charl!) Within the next few days you can expect a juicy ( not that juicy Shannon!), exciting, and detailed summary of the best, most fun filled, 20 days of our lives (so far).
By the way, we already sent home our pics from South Africa, so this pic is the only one we have left. It is of Table Mountain, which we hiked up, AND down, and we nearly passed out. We were able to see all of the whales near the shore thanks to the BEST binoculars ever. (Thanks Mike, you have NO idea how much we have used them on this trip, as well as Brad's DR. Scholl's..he he he) Love from the place we were 30 days ago, Sam and Brad
P.S.-We are now in Delhi, India, and I must say that this is the fricking craziest place on earth. I don't even know how we are going to be able to explain this one. ( Thanks for the Rupees Lindsay, we had a delicious dinner tonight on you! Thanks a million! and you were right, this place is out of freakin control!!!!!!!! We feel like we are on another planet or something. How about the people just peeing on the streets? Or the crazy drivers? Or EVERYONE trying to get you to either come to their shop, give them your money, or BAKSHEESH? Crazy, crazy, crazy, but we love it!)
P.P.S. If you are so incredibly bored that you would like to reread our past blogs, just click on the bottom right hand corner marked archives, and click on the month that you just must read again. LOL-

HI Sam and Brad!!

I am so glad that you finally made it to India:) You're right...India is a crazy country and it is very hard to explain. It's something that you have to see for yourself. I'm not sure how long you are going to be in India but I hope you are there long enough to get a good taste of their culture. I wish I was there with you!! Don't spend too much time in New Delhi because there are so many other fascinating places to see. Gosh, I wish I was thereā€¦life is so interesting and different then the norm. Take care and watch out for Delhi Belly:) Are you taking a tour or are you fending for yourselves? Miss you, be safe and Happy Thanksgiving, Lindsay
