Welcome to India!!!! We were so excited that there was a Pizza Hut here, we just HAD to have a taste of home!!! Yummy yum yummy!
These pictures are from Delhi!!!!!!
Delhi, India, November 9, 2006
We arrived in Delhi, India on November 9, and knock on wood, we have not yet experienced the "Delhi Belly", our poops have been suprisingly solid. We thought you would like to know. He He He. WE are surely Canadian, and it looks as if they hate our lovely president as much as we do!
Delhi was such a whirlwind of sensations and emotions. We were thrown into what seems like utter chaos, it IS utter Chaos here. There are people, cars, rickshaws, cows, bicycles, dogs, beggars, piss and shit EVERYWHERE!. It takes a special person, but if you can get passed the dense smog, then meander your way through the putrid stench of fecal matter and urine, you can reach beauty in this overcrowded city. It took us 1 day before we could begin to comprehend what was going on, eveything is soooo cheap it is actually unbelievable. Just ask me, I have already purchased a new "Indian" wardrobe, for @ $ 5.oo US! You can live off of 20$ a day, including food, lodging, and presents. Delhi kicked started our India adventure, and smarted us up a bit ( luckily we had a little lesson in Egypt, which taught us the way...."Egyption" Hospitality trained us for "Indian hospitality". The busy city was out of control literally. We decided that if we could brave this chaos, we could surely find our way around India...on our own. Who needs a guided tour anyway right?
